Our Introductory Course is $175 per person and runs 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Homestead Training Center. Our Intro class is a great introductory Firearm Safety Course for those that are new to firearms ownership, or are considering this as a home defense or personal protection option. No formal firearms training required. This course is perfect for first time gun owners, to educate yourself before making a very serious decision about firearms.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need any experience?
None. The course assumes zero prior knowledge and no live ammunition is present until the second half of the class.
Do I need to own a firearm?
No. Tell us when you register that you do not own one and we will arrange what you will use for the session.
Does shooting hurt?
No. Recoil from a standard handgun is a firm push rather than pain. Most first-time shooters are surprised by how manageable it is.
