Training for Homestead

Homestead is where our outdoor live-fire range is, which means students here have essentially no drive at all to the training the rest of the county travels for.

South Dade is also its own environment — agricultural, spread out, with long response times in the parts furthest from town. That is precisely the situation our mission statement describes: when the police are minutes away, you are the first line of defense.

Our Range Is Here

The Homestead Training Center is our outdoor live-fire range, and every range course we teach runs here — Introductory, Intermediate, Advanced, Tactical Carbine, low-light, ladies-only, and private sessions, 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

We train outdoors on purpose. An outdoor range lets us teach drawing from a holster, moving between positions, shooting from behind cover, working with a partner, and running a course after dark. Almost no indoor range in Miami-Dade permits any of that.

It is also outdoors in South Florida, which is its own piece of training. Heat, humidity, sweat, and mosquitos are part of the environment you would actually be in. Bring water and repellent.

If you already carry and have never trained under pressure: force-on-force, from $60 on a Monday night.

Still unsure? Call and describe what you want to be able to do. We will tell you which class you actually need, not the most expensive one.
