Home Defense Training in Kendall

Storage · Low light · Decision-making under pressure

360 Tactical teaches home defense training for Kendall, Florida. Training built around the realities of defending an occupied home — darkness, family members in other rooms, unknown numbers of intruders, and the legal weight of every decision. It combines live-fire fundamentals and low-light work at our Homestead range with force-on-force scenario training in Hialeah. Live-fire and low-light work happen at our Homestead range (a short drive south — the shortest of any major community in the county from Kendall); force-on-force runs at our Hialeah facility (roughly 35 minutes north). Why Kendall Students Take This Course

This is the training Kendall families ask about most, and the first question is almost always storage. A firearm a child can reach is a catastrophe; one locked in the garage is useless at 3 AM. Modern quick-access safes solve both, and we cover them properly.

Kendall is the closest major community to our Homestead range — a straight run south on the Turnpike or US-1 — which makes it the easiest place in the county to actually get live-fire training done.

It is also largely families and long-term residents, and the questions we hear from Kendall are consistent: someone wants to protect the house, there are kids in it, and usually only one adult has ever handled a firearm.

What the Course Covers

  • Storage that is secure from a child and still fast for you
  • Choosing a home defense firearm — pistol, carbine, or shotgun
  • Weapon-mounted lights and identifying your target
  • Shooting in low light and near-total darkness
  • Whether to move through the house or hold a defensive position
  • Communicating with family members and with 911
  • Working with a partner without covering each other
  • Florida law on the use of deadly force in the home
  • What happens in the hours after a defensive incident

Where This Happens

Live fire and low light — our outdoor Homestead range, a short drive south — the shortest of any major community in the county from Kendall. More about the range.

Force-on-force — our Hialeah facility, Mondays 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM, roughly 35 minutes north from Kendall. More about force-on-force.

Most students build the two together. Mechanical skill comes from the range; decision-making comes from facing a live opponent. Neither one substitutes for the other.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where do Kendall students take home defense training?
Live-fire and low-light work happen at our Homestead range (a short drive south — the shortest of any major community in the county from Kendall); force-on-force runs at our Hialeah facility (roughly 35 minutes north).
How much is home defense training near Kendall?
From $60 depending on the track. Call 786-314-0471 for the next available date.
What is the best firearm for home defense?
It depends on your home layout, who else lives there, and what you can actually shoot well under stress. A pistol is easiest to store accessibly, a carbine is easier to shoot accurately, a shotgun hits hard but is harder to maneuver indoors.
Do I need a concealed carry permit to keep a gun at home?
No. A Florida CWL governs carrying concealed in public, not keeping a firearm lawfully in your own home.
How do I store a gun safely with kids in the house?
A quick-access safe — biometric or keypad — bolted down within reach of where you sleep. Secure against a child, open in a second or two for you. A loaded firearm in a nightstand drawer is not an option.
Should my spouse train too?
Yes, and we strongly recommend it. Home defense is a household plan, not an individual one.
